I’m a visual artist and metalworker. I enjoy fabricating both in steel and with softer metals like copper, brass, and silver. I make jewelry, bowls, animal sculptures, and planters. Many of my pieces draw inspiration from and try to replicate the landscapes I live and walk through. I enjoy making organic forms and patterns that evoke feelings one gets while spending time in natural environments.
I completed a Masters’ degree in Experience Design at Northeastern University, gaining experience in a wide variety of design skills – UX research methods, data visualization, illustration and notation, front end programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript), and fabrication prototyping (woodworking, laser cutting, and additive manufacturing).
I have a balance of creative and analytical thinking -
Creative:
I bring a creative mindset to solving problems. I have been an artist my whole life and enjoy communicating information visually.
Analytical:
I have a background in geology and hydrology, with a solid understanding of physics, structural geology, mathematics, and climate change. In my senior year of college, I used geographic information systems (GIS) to predict changes in earth's albedo as a result of sea level rise due to climate change. Please visit this link if interested.
